Education

Elementary School

Land of Lakes Public School, located within the Village of Burk's Falls is part of the Near North District School Board. The school was retro fitted in 2016-2017 to accommodate students from JK to grade 8.

Secondary School

Almaguin Highlands Secondary School, located in the Village of South River, provides secondary education for students. Also a part of the Near North District School Board, AHSS has been providing a high level of education to over 20 Almaguin communities since 1958.

Mature Students

Mature students looking to upgrade or obtain credentials can find educational opportunities with the Almaguin Learning Centre, Contact North Online Learning or with the Near North District School Board Continued Learning Services. Services offer mature students a flexible and comfortable environment which works with a variety of schedules and commitments.

Post Secondary School

Post secondary education opportunities can be found just an hour from the Village. Canadore College offers a variety of campus locations in North Bay and Parry Sound. Each site offers students a wealth of educational opportunities to explore.
