Minor Variance Notice of Public Meeting

The Village of Burk’s Falls Committee of Adjustment will hold an electronic public meeting on Monday, April 26th 2021. The purpose of the meeting is to consider an application for minor variance that has been submitted pursuant to Section 45 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 Ch P.13 and was considered complete on April 6, 2021.

Applicant: GGB Exhaust Technologies Ltd.

Property: 146 Yonge Street, Burk’s Falls

Variance: to permit an additional two (2) storage containers on a commercial property

File No: MV-2021-01

Meeting Date April 26, 2021 at 6:00 pm via Zoom

Purpose and Effect of the Application: to permit the two additional storage containers above the allowable two storage containers for a total of four containers on the property that will be enclosed by a fence.

Existing Zoning Provisions: Bylaw 30-2016 to regulate the use of storage containers within the Village restricts commercial or industrial properties to two containers on the property. It further requires that where storage containers are used on a property that they shall be buffered from adjacent properties with a visual barrier to the height of the container(s).

Any person may attend the public hearing and/or make written comments to the Committee of Adjustment either in support of, or in opposition to the proposed minor variance. Information regarding this application will be available for public inspection until noon on the day of the hearing at the Village of Burk’s Falls municipal office.

Notice of Decision: a copy of the committee’s decision will be sent to the applicant and to each person who registered at the public hearing and who has filed a written request for notice of the decision with the Secretary-Treasurer.
