important and active members of this community;

2006-076
Cathy Still – B. Campbell:
The Council for the Village of Burk’s Falls have read the resolution
circulated by the Municipality of Powassan expressing concern with
funding to long term care homes;
Whereas as a result of inadequate funding increases from the Province to
long-term care homes, the two District Homes for the Aged servicing
Parry Sound District will have significant increases to the municipal
levy in order to meet requirements under the Ministry of Health and Long
Term Care standards, meet inflationary and contractual cost increases in
areas of salary and benefits, utility costs, maintenance and repairs and
supplies; and
Whereas these aforementioned costs that are not being properly funded by
the Province are being downloaded to the local municipalities supporting
the District Homes for the Aged;
Now therefore Council for the Village of Burk’s Falls supports the
petition to the Provincial Government to provide adequate annual
increases to the level of care per diems to the long term care home in
order that the homes can meet the annual inflationary cost increases and
the requirements under the Ministry standards.

Food operation as presented provided all regulations are adhered to and
the annual license fee is paid prior to opening. Conditional upon an
